Power charms come in various forms. In African Symbols there are a few. A power charm is an item which brings the person power – that power can be used for good or evil – the charm is neutral – like all symbols and talismans. Many items can represent power, from a crown that a king wears – to how many cattle a man owns. In some countries ones power is measured by possessions, or even by how many wives a person has. A good power symbol will help with protection against spells.
True power is within – it is not an external thing. The power symbol is merely a representation of that personal power. A power charm is there to remind the user, or wearer of the power symbols, that he or she has power. It is given by birthright to every human being. The amount of personal power that a person has is equal to what that person is able to deal with. Great power brings great responsibility and with it great challenges. Throughout history we see great power that people have acquired – and in a lot of cases how that power has been abused. We also see how many have taken that power and used it for good.
Most people want a power symbol or power charm for the wrong reasons. They think that once they have a powerful charm – or a powerful spell, it will allow them to control others. This is wrong thinking, great power is given for use in ones own life. It is power for the self – not power over others. With your own power you will have protection against spells – If you have faith.
